Chole
Chole with Roti as healthy breakfast.
Steps

Soak overnight kabuli Chana and pressure cook in sufficient water by adding salt + chopped Tomato.

Assemble all ingredients

In a moderately heated pan add oil, add bay leaf + dry red chili + cumin seeds and allow to crackle. Add onion + green chili and sauté till pinkish then add ginger garlic + potato cubes and sauté for a few seconds to ward off rawness. Then add all spices by adding 3 tbsp water so that masala doesn’t burn.

Then add boiled Chole along with water and add salt as required. Cook for 3-4 minutes.

Now add Kasuri Methi and cook further for 4-5 minutes, lastly add lemon juice and simmer for 1 minute.

Chole is ready to serve. Adding potato is optional.

Garnish with onion rings.

Serve with roti / paratha and let kids enjoy the tasty and healthy breakfast.
