Ingredients

30 minutes
2 servings
  • 2 cupsurad dal (Black gram)
  • 2onions
  • 1/2 cupchopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cupchopped curry leaves
  • as per tasteSalt
  • as requiredOil for deep frying
  • 3chopped green chillies
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder
  • 1/2turmeric powder

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and soak urad dal for minimum 2hrs

    Drain all water

  3. 3

    Grind to a smooth paste, if required add half cup of water

  4. 4

    Transfer in a mixing bowl

  5. 5

    Add salt, chopped coriander leaves, coriander leaves, green chillies, Red chilli powder and turmeric powder

    Mix everything well

  7. 7

    For frying keep hot oil ready

  8. 8

    Put batter with a small spoon directly in oil

  9. 9

    Deep fry till golden in colour

  10. 10

    Serve hot with chilli or tomato ketchup
