In a grinder jar, take ginger, garlic cloves and green chillies. Add little water and grind.
Next in a vessel take out little soaked moong dal.
(This enhances crunch)
Add the rest of the soaked and strained split moong dal into the grinder jar having ginger, garlic and chilli paste.
Put salt, turmeric powder, hing and cumin seeds. - 2
Now grind it once.
It becomes a partially smooth batter.
Take out the batter in the vessel where you kept the ungrounded soaked moong dal.
Add to the batter, rice flour. (This makes the pakodas crispier) - 3
Whip mix.
Next add red chilli powder. Mix again.
The batter must not be runny. - 4
Next heat oil.
Next, add baking soda to the batter and mix well.
Let it sit for 3-4 minutes.
Mix again.
Now the oil must be medium-hot.
Put small portions of the prepared batter and fry until golden brown and crispy. - 5

Drain the extra oil and transfer into the serving plate.

Serve hot with green chutney and chai!!
