Soak whole urad dal for atleast 6 hours.

Drain it and grind in a mixer jar with green chili.

Add garam masala powder, salt, and baking soda, and mix well.

Heat oil in an appe pan and pour the batter with help of a spoon.

Cover and cook from both sides till crisp from the outside and completely cooked from the inside.

Serve hot urad dal appe as breakfast.
