Wash and soak the Samvat Rice for half an hour. Cut the cashews into small pieces, break the stem from the raisins and wash it, and peel and grind the cardamom to put into the kheer.Boil the milk in a heavy pan and add Samvat Rice into it once the milk boils.

Stir it continuously with a spoon after every 3-4 minutes. Take the spoon deep into the pan while stirring it, so the kheer do not get stick at the bottom.

The rice and milk should fall together while dripping from the spoon. Add Sugar into the Kheer and mix it well. Turn off the flame.Samvat Rice Kheer is ready. Garnish it with cardamom seeds. You can serve it either hot or cold.

Once the rice gets tender, add cashews and raisins into it. Cook the mixture till the milk and the rice gets totally mixed into each other and reaches to a thick consistency.
