Banana fritters

Mom used to make this fritters for breakfast.
They are sweet, but not overly sweet. They are soft, fluffy with a rich flavor from the bananas. 🍌

Mom used to make this fritters for breakfast.
They are sweet, but not overly sweet. They are soft, fluffy with a rich flavor from the bananas. 🍌

In a big bowl, mash the bananas with the back of a fork until small chunks form.

Add sugar & mix well.

Add the flour, baking soda, salt, milk & water. Mix all the ingredients well to form a batter.

Pour vanilla essence & mix well.

Heat up a frying pan and add some cooking oil for deep frying. Once the oil is heated, drop a spoonful of batter into the frying pan. Try to "shape" the batter so it's somewhat round. Deep fry the fritters until dark brown.

Remove the fritters using a strainer. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
