Ingredients

  • 5 tbspfinely chopped tomatoes 🍅
  • 3 tbspfinely chopped onions 🧅
  • 11/2 tspfinely chopped green chillies
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped coriander leaves 🌿
  • 1 tspchopped garlic 🧄
  • 1/2dried basil / 1 tbsp fresh dill 🌱
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  • 21/2 tbsptomato ketchup 🍅
  • 1/2 tsplemon juice 🍋
  • For tortilla chips:
  • 3/4 cupwhole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cupplain flour
  • 1/8 tspsalt
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • For Chaat sabzi:
  • 1/4 cupboiled sweet corn kennels 🌽 if available
  • 1/4 cupred kidney beans boiled
  • 1/4 cupgreen capsicum chopped 🫑
  • Salt to taste 🧂
  • 3 tbspoil
  • 1/2 cupice berg lettuce
  • 1/2 tspkashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️
  • 1/2 tspcoriander & cumin powder
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  • 1 tspfinely chopped ginger
  • 1/2 tspfinely chopped garlic 🧄
  • 1/2 tspmixed herbs
  • 1 tspfinely chopped green chillies
  • For garnish:
  • 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander leaves 🌿
  • 1/2 cupsev
  • 1/4 cupgrated processed cheese 🧀 / chopped

    For salsa: cut finely chopped tomato 🍅, onion 🧅, green chillies, coriander leaves 🌿, chopped garlic 🧄, fresh dill.

    In a bowl mix all above salsa mixture gently and keep aside. Boil red kidney beans and sweet corn kennels if available, keep aside.

    For Chaat sabzi: heat oil, add cumin seeds when start to crackle, add finely chopped garlic 🧄, cook till golden, add finely chopped ginger, stir and add boiled red kidney beans and boiled sweet corn 🌽 mix well. Add spices black pepper powder, salt 🧂, kashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️, coriander & cumin powder, mixed herbs, finally add chopped green capsicum 🫑 and mix well, till done. Remove from heat and keep aside.

    For tortilla chips: dry mix whole wheat flour, plain flour, salt, cumin seeds, add little water and mix, make a dough, cover and keep it for 3 mins, heat a non- stick griddle, divide the dough into 6 equal portions, roll out a portion of the dough into 7" round thin circle, place the roll tortilla gently on griddle, cook lightly for few mins, flip it over cook on the other side for a few sec as well.

    Till little black spots appears, remove from griddle and roll in foli and use the rest of the dough the same way,Cut into small diamond/ square pieces from tortillas, heat oil in a non- stick pan and diamond / square pieces in the oil and fry until golden brown, remove from oil, keep on paper napkin, keep aside.

    Add tomato ketchup 🍅, lemon juice 🍋in salsa and mix well. Transfer salsa into a large bowl and add red kidney beans sabzi, just before serving add the tortilla chips and toss gently using 2 spoons to mix, garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves 🌿, sev. Serve immediately.
