Ingredients

40 minutes
  1. 375 gAll Ready Rolled Shortcrust Pastry
  2. 1beaten hen egg
  3. 400 gWhite Sugar (I used Caster Sugar)

Steps

40 minutes
  1. 1

    Preheat oven to Gas Mark 6.
    Unravel the Shop bought Already Rolled out Shortcrust Pastry - with it's own Baking Parchment Paper underneath and place on a large enough Baking Tray and then brush with beaten egg and then evenly sprinkle the White sugar over the top

  2. 2

    Bake in the oven at Gas Mark 6 for 35 or 40 minutes and then allow to cool and get cold. Done

Was my first attempt on the 28/10/22 too cook the Shortcrust Pastry in the way I did - did open the oven twice too see if it was done . Did store the cooked Pastry in the Fridge before eventually eating some of it - bit by bit - did not taste much soft Shortcrust Pastry - was too much sugar on top , but that is not a problem , because it can easily be shaked off
