Chhath Puja is a popular festival of Bihar, to offer ardhya to Sun God.This is the only festival in which we worship Sun set. So many dishes are made for prasad.Thekua is one of them.Lal saag,singhada,kheer Puri etc.are made on this occasion.I made this paratha with raw singhada.Singhada is the favorite fruit of Godess Laxmi.

Steps

Wash water chestnut properly.Cut into halves.Boil it in a pressure cooker.Let the first whistle come and switch off the gas.

Peel all the water chestnut.Now grate it.Mix all the spices and green chilli.

Mix flour and salt.Add water little by little to make soft dough.Rest it for 5 min.

Now heat heat a tawa.Divide the water chestnut mixture into 8 parts.Take small part from the dough,make a ball,flatten it,fill it with the mixture and close it from all sides.Roll it like a chapati and cook it on a greased tawa.Flip it,pour some ghee and spread.Cook it from the other side.

Your delicious paratha stuffed with water chestnut is ready to serve.
