7 1/2 hrs.
1/2 rack each
  1. 1whole rack of baby back pork ribs, membrane peeled, and halved
  2. 1/2an onion, slice half moon
  3. 1 tbs.Worcestershire sauce
  4. 1 tsp.Hot cayenne sauce
  5. 2 tsp."Soul Food Seasoning"
  6. 1/2 tspcayenne powder
  7. 1/2 cupwater
  8. 1/2 cupSweet Baby Ray's "Sweet n' Spicy" Bbq Sauce

Cooking Instructions

7 1/2 hrs.
  1. 1

Remove the 3lb. Rack of Ribs from the cryovac. Peel off the membrane. Cut the Rack in half, eyeball it. Remove to a large, sealable, non-reactive, plastic bowl. Add the liquid ingredients and toss. Sprinkle and rub the soul food seasoning and cayenne on all sides. Add in the onion slices and toss. Seal, and let marinate overnight.

  2. 2

Tile the rubbed and marinated rib halfs upright along the sides of the crockpot with the juices and onions, add a half cup of water. Cover and turn on "Low" setting for six hours.

  3. 3

Remove the well drained, slow cooked, ribs to a foil lined baking sheet. Let cool and "dry" for a few minutes.

  4. 4

Brush or spoon the BBQ sauce pretty heavily onto all sides and edges of the ribs. Let the sauce caramelize and get splendiferous and tacky in a 400 F oven for 30-45 mins.
