Marinate the fish with 1 tsp. Oil, salt & turmeric powder for 1/2 an hour. Heat oil in kadai & add red chilli powder, salt & green chillies. Fry it well.

Then add marinated fish with it. Cook it one side for 2 minutes, then cook it other side of fish for 2 minutes in low flame.

Add 1/4 cup of water & cook it for 5 minutes in medium to low flame. Now Jhal jhol is ready to serve with steamed rice.
