Vegetable Purée Vegetable Purée
My relationship with rutabaga is absolutely terrible and hostile. Either I haven’t cracked the code yet or it might just have to fall under ‘may try’.I’ve tried substituting rutabaga for potatoes in a mash - It turned out pretty descent with all the butter and seasoning but was honestly too much effort in my opinion. However, a combination of rutabaga and other vegetables in a purée is a solid fallback plan that I won’t even try to gate keep. It could simply be rutabaga and carrot purée or you could experiment with all of your favorite vegetables. The key is getting the seasoning perfect at all cost and you’ll enjoy a good plate of food.#GoldenApron23 Bianca Mwale -

Pomme Purée | Mashed Potatoes Pomme Purée | Mashed Potatoes
This is my personal take of making pomme purée. There are millions upon millions of recipes online about making the silkiest softest fluffiest pomme purée. I am not saying that mine is the best, but it is my personal favorite at this point in time. My secrets are, using a ricer instead of a masher, infusing the cream, assemble while everything is still warm and lastly, passing everything thru' a fine sieve.I know it is quite a bit of a workout, but it is worth it in the end. Please try to get your hands on Yukon Gold potatoes; they are the best for making mashed potatoes. If you want to be fancy or if you have access to La Ratte potatoes, do use them. They will be perfect! In closing, I hope you will give this recipe a try. Daniel Lim -

Basil Pea Puree Basil Pea Puree
My mind is blown. This is like green magic on a spoon. Use it instead of mozzarella in a caprese salad, serve it warm with braised meats, as a spread for bruschetta for a quick appetizer- or, if you're like me, on the biggest spoon you have, straight into your pie hole. lisazirb -
Rum Flavored Persimmon Purée Rum Flavored Persimmon Purée
I wanted a purée to spread on another dessert, so this is what I came up with. The persimmon will be microwaved without being covered with plastic wrap, so prepare a large heatproof container. If you use a small one, it will overflow and you'll end up with disastrous results...The maple syrup and mango puree is optional, but they add an accent to the purée.Cinnamon is really delicious in this too. Roasted sweet potato-pumpkin purée (for infants/toddlers) Roasted sweet potato-pumpkin purée (for infants/toddlers)
Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of vitamin A (in the form of beta-carotene). They are also a very good source of vitamin C, manganese, copper, pantothenic acid and vitamin B6. Additionally, they are a good source of potassium, dietary fiber, niacin, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and phosphorus. The fiber, potassium, and vitamin C content in pumpkin all support heart health. Both cinnamon and nutmeg are used for generations in India to harness their medicinal benefits. Roasting the veggies gives them a different flavour than the regularly made purées. In short, this purée is powerpacked with nutrients for a growing baby A Chef and A Mom -

Sig's Marone Chestnut and Chocolate Puree Sig's Marone Chestnut and Chocolate Puree
The marone chestnut is of the same family as the ordinary edible chestnut, but if a better taste. You can use either ready cooked vacuum packet or fresh ones. If you use fresh ones make sure that you cross cut them slightly after peeling from the hard brown outer casing and boil them for about ten minutes to remove the thin skin that lays between the shell and the seed. You can use any edible chestnut for this recipe. Please Do Not use the horse chestnut or conker as they are not edible .Edible chestnuts have a green/brown case with many thin bristles a horse chestnut has a green brown case with fewer and thick spiky bristles. Both have a hard brown outer casing, inside of their bristly or spiky casing.Chestnuts are sold in supermarkets in tins ( cans) , vacuum pack, fresh or frozen. Sigrun -
