Ingredients

15 minutes
2 servings
  • 2 cupChopped cabbage -
  • 1 medium sizeFinley chopped onion
  • 1/2 tspGinger garlic and green chilli paste -
  • 1/2 cupgram flour
  • 2-3 tspChopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1/4 tspRed chilli powder
  • 1 pinchAsafoetida
  • as requiredSalt as required
  • 2 tspcorn flour
  • as requiredWater to make a smooth batter
  • as requiredOil to fry the fritters or pakodas
  • 1/2 tspcumin powder

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    In a mixing bowl combine gram flour, 2 tsp corn flour, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp of red chilli powder, salt, chopped coriander leaves, chopped cabbage, chopped onion, ginger garlic and green chilli paste, salt as required, cumin powder and asafoetida. Mix well everything. Now add water vto make a smooth batter. Batter should not be thin or runny. The batter should be of medium thick consistency. keep aside for 15 minutes.

    Now heat oil in a frying pan over medium flame. Now take less amount of batter in your hand and smoothly slightly flattering. Then put in the hot oil. Repeat the same process for Making other pakodas. fry both sides until pakodas turn into light golden brown. Now remove the pakodas from oil and place to kitchen paper. So that extra oil will be removed.

    Now serve hot pakoda along with tomato sauce or any other dip as per your choice.
