Easy Chestnut Cake with Okara

Because I love chestnuts, I added them into my regular okara cake.

You could also microwave for 15 to 20 minutes at 500W. However, the surface is likely to harden if you're using a microwave. Whether you are using chestnut or candied chestnut, the flavor improves if you chill it in fridge for a whole day rather than serving fresh out of the oven. For loaf pan: 18 x 8 x 6 cm [7 x 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 in]. Recipe by Rinkachan

  • 150 gramsFresh okara
  • 100 gramsPancake mix
  • 100 gramsPeeled sweet chestnuts
  • 100 mlMilk
  • 1Egg
  • 3 tbspSugar
  • 1 tspRum

Steps

  1. 1

    Blend the sweet chestnuts and milk in a food processor. Stop blending when the chestnuts become your preferred graininess.

  2. 2

    Mix all the ingredients together.

    Bake for 30 minutes in a 180°C (356°F) oven.
