Puran Poli Samosa - A twist on the classic dish

Soak 1 cup chana dal for around 2-3 hours

Pressure cook it upto 3 whistles after adding turmeric and oil

Once cooked and cooled - Drain and mash the dal and keep aside

Heat Pan and put 1 cup Jaggery followed by that 1 tbsp Ghee
- 5
Add the mashed dal and mix very well. Lastly, add cardamom powder around 1/2 tsp

To make a dough, Mix Wheat, Maida, turmeric and salt. Add water and make a soft dough. Keep the dough aside covered for 30 mins

Roll the dough into flat small chapati and cut it into half. Shape the 1/2 chapati into a cone shape and add the mashed chana and jaggery filling (Puran). Seal it well and make samosa shape. Deep fry the puran poli samosas

You can also make normal puran polis using the same filling and the dough if you can roll a perfect dough.
