Grilled chicken kebabs

When we say ‘kebab’ the image that comes to our mind is that of juicy pieces of bite-sized marinated chicken and colourful vegetables, all threaded onto skewers and grilled on the bbq or in oven. A classic summer dinner option.
However, burger patties or chicken patties and even potato patties are known as “kebab” in Pakistan. And we have a variety of kebabs! All take the pre-fix of the meat used or the method used in cooking and sometimes also the equipment used in making the kebab.
This Grilled Chicken Kebab is chicken patty grilled in the grill pan on the stovetop. Simple as that.
Unlike ground chicken patties or burgers that require chicken patties made with ground chicken, bread crumbs, etc. these juicy chicken kebabs need only a handful of ingredients and can be made in a fraction of the time. Best of all, there is not need to marinate the chicken also!
Unlike most patties that require standard breading process, these kebabs go straight on the hot grill pan without any breadcrumbs.
These kebabs are versatile. Use them for burgers topped with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and spicy mayo. Serve them with some fries for a delicious snack. They make ideal sandwiches as well.
Make a batch and freeze them to use as required.
