This is a cold dessert perfect for summer. It's an Italian dessert of seasonal fruits marinated in a syrup. It's a great dish because of its beautiful jewel-like appearance, plus it can be made very easily.
Since it looks gorgeous, it's perfect for a party menu or to serve it to your guests.

I heard that macédoine means "to mix". Marinate the fruits right away after cutting them with the lemon juice to prevent discoloring.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1/4Watermelon
  2. 1Banana
  3. 1Nectarine
  4. 10pieces Grapes (I used seedless kyoho grapes)
  5. 1Tangerines, oranges, or any other citrus fruit
  6. 1Any other fruit of your choice
  7. ★ For the marinade:
  8. 5 tbsp★ Sugar
  9. 4 tbsp★ Lemon juice
  10. 1optional ★ Liqueur (aromatic liqueur such as white wine or kirsch are recommended)

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine the ★ ingredients in a bowl and set it aside.

  2. 2

    Peel the fruit, cut into bite-sized pieces, place in the bowl and coat with the ★ ingredients, mixing them together by hand.

  3. 3

    Once the juice starts to come out of the fruit, chill it until ice cold in the refrigerator. Transfer it into a serving bowl and serve.

  4. 4

    Top it with some ice cubes or herbs if desired and enjoy it with your friends!
