Fry the onions in a pan, till golden brown ane keep aside

Marinate the jackfruit using, gramfour, turmeric, red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, a tsp of ginger garlic paste for 20mts. Shallow fry for 10 mts

Cook the soaked rice (for 1 hr soaking), while adding rose water, bay leaves, star anise.. cook till rice is 75 percent cooked

Now in a pan or rice cooker (i am using), add oil left after frying the onions, add fried onions,(half of them) ginger garlic paste and mix well, add a cup of water, and curd, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, javitri powder, cardamom powder, and when it start shimmering add jackfruit. Cook till jackfruit is done.

Now remove half the jackruit gravy, add rice, layer with fried onions, mint leaves. Again layer the jackruit gravy and rice, mint leaves, add ghee. Cook for 10mts. Keep it covered so that the flavors are mixed and preserved in steam

Add fried cashews and kismis in ghee on top and serve hot. Its delicious spicy and tangy wholemeal.
