Oven Steamed Summer Squash

I’ll eat squash any way you wanna fix it. This is just a super easy way to make it and it’s summer in a pan. I envy every single one of you that has a garden💕😂Fortunately, we have an abundance of beautiful, fresh produce here in Florida and I take full advantage of it. We love the taste of squash and this can be made easily in large amounts as well as smaller.

I’ll eat squash any way you wanna fix it. This is just a super easy way to make it and it’s summer in a pan. I envy every single one of you that has a garden💕😂Fortunately, we have an abundance of beautiful, fresh produce here in Florida and I take full advantage of it. Steps
- 1
Do this earlier in the day or overnight. Add your sliced squash in a bowl. Salt it throughout, cover it and put it in the fridge until time to bake it.
- 2
When ready, preheat the oven to 350. Drain your squash, completely, in a colander. There will be quite a bit of water. Rinse the squash if you want. I didn’t because it leaves my squash just the right saltiness.
- 3
In a prepared pan, put in your squash. I season well at this point but leave out the salt. Toss. I break up my onion and put it on top. I dot the butter all over the top, seal it with foil and bake it for about an hour, no longer.
