I know lot of us don’t even try to cook Jawar rotis, thinking it would never come like rotis and break. I was also part of the same league in the past. Hence comes this recipe, follow step by step and I am sure you will be successful.

I know lot of us don’t even try to cook Jawar rotis, thinking it would never come like rotis and break. I was also part of the same league in the past. Hence comes this recipe, follow step by step and I am sure you will be successful.

Boil the water with the ghee. Once water boils add the flour and keep stirring until mixture thickens. Switch off the heat and keep the mixture covered for half an hour.

Now make balls for roti, kneed each ball very smoothly for few minutes before rolling into roti shape. Roll the rotis by applying little Jawar flour on either sides. Cook on medium heat on a hot tawa, once you place the roti on tawa, sprinkle/brush little water on top side.

Once it’s cooked from bottom, flip and cook the other side, until some dark spots starts appearing. Now cook directly on fire like regular rotis. Store in roti box with generous amount of ghee applied.
