Ingredients

30 mins
4-6 people
  1. 375 gReady roll puff pastry,
  2. 240 gmozzarella cheese, sliced/torn,
  3. 1/2red onion, finely sliced,
  4. 4 slicesprosciutto di parma,
  5. 5spears asparagus, sliced into 3rds,
  6. 1 tspdried oregano,
  7. 1beaten egg,
  8. Salt & pepper to season
  9. To serve:
  10. Balsamic glaze drizzle

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Remove the puff pastry from the fridge well before cooking to allow it to come up to room temperature so it doesn't crack when you roll it out. Preheat your oven to 180° (gas mark 6). Take a large baking tray and line it with greaseproof paper.

  2. 2

    Carefully lay the rolled out pastry upon the lined baking tray. Take a sharp knife and score a 1 inch rectangle around the edges to create a border.

    Lay the red onion, cheese, asparagus and parma ham over the pastry evenly and neatly. Season it with salt, pepper and dried oregano. Brush the 1 inch edges with beaten egg.

    Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes until puffed up, crisp & golden. Leave to cool for two minutes then drizzle over the balsamic glaze. Slice into portions, serve up & enjoy! :)
