Take a pressure cooker and add the butter. Once it melts, add the cumin seeds. Then add the bay leaves and cloves, followed by the cinnamon stick. Add the washed rice and mix well.

Add salt and water as needed. Close the pressure cooker. After 1 whistle, turn off the heat.

Jeera rice is ready. Serve it with dal or any curry.
