Steps

Soak ingredients under ‘Mustard paste’ section for 15 minutes.Fry the dumplings in 2 tsp oil until fried.

Grind and make smooth mustard paste. Roast bamboo shoots in 1 tsp mustard oil until slightly brown.

Heat 1 tsp mustard oil, temper with panch phoron, red chilli and curry leaves. Add the mustard paste. Cook for just 1-2 minutes.

Add the fried shoots, salt, turmeric. Add 2 cup of water and the masala cook and get a thicker consistency.

Turn off the heat, add the fried lentils. Let it covered for few minutes, lentils will absorb the liquid. Serve with plane rice.
