Ingredients

  • For the dough
  • 1 cupwheat flour
  • 1 tspcarom seeds
  • 1/8 tspbaking powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tspghee/ oil
  • For the filling
  • 1 cupany sev/ mixture/ chiwda
  • 1 tbsptamarind chutney

    Seive flour in a bowl. Add carom seeds, salt, baking powder and ghee. Rub well add water and knead a soft dough.

    Keep aside covered for an hour.

  3. 3

    In a mixer jar add mixture/sev and grind to smooth powder. Take it out in a bowl and mix tamarind paste. It should be slightly moist.

    Now divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Take one portion, roll slightly into a ball and then shape it like a bowl.Fill in it a spoonful of filling in the ball. Cover it with dough completely and then press to flatten. Repeat with all the portions.

    Now preheat airfryer for 5 minutes and then place the kachori in it. Spary some oil and cook at 200 degrees for 5 minutes. Flip and then lower the temperature to 170 degrees and cook for another 8 minutes. Cook till golden and crisp.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with green coriander chutney and tamarind chutney.
