Heat oil in Dutch oven. Cook ground breakfast sausage until done.

Cook biscuits according to instructions.

Once sausage is cooked, remove from skillet and leave 4-5 tbsp grease (add bacon grease if needed). Over medium low heat, add 4 tbsp flour and whisk. It should be smooth and stirrable.

Keep whisking until the mixture starts to brown (while scraping browned bits from the bottom).

After about 2-3 minutes, pour in one cup of milk and keep whisking. Add the second cup of milk and keep whisking. Cook until desired consistency. Add salt to taste. Add sausage back into gravy.

Butter biscuits and top with gravy.
