Lamb Shank Lentil Soup

Melt the clarified butter or ghee in a large pot and brown the lamb shank pieces until lightly golden.

Add the lentils and stir. Pour in the water and add the salt. Cover the pot and cook until the lentils are tender. Then add the rice, stirring every 10 minutes to prevent sticking, until the soup thickens and the lamb is fully cooked.

Serve hot. Enjoy!
