Steps
- 1
Peer the putter skin of the burdock. Chop it into slices and stir fried in a pan/pot with a little bit of cooking oil.
- 2
Add the vegetable dices followed by the pork slices.
- 3
Add hot water. If you want to be fancy you may add dashi instead.
- 4
Bring it to boil and add the miso paste.
- 5
Tear the Konjac into smaller pieces using a spoon or by hand instead of using a knife. This increases the surface area of the Konjac pieces, which allows the flavour of the soup to be infused into the Konjac more readily.
- 6
Rinse the Konjac with hot water. This removes any unpleasant odour from the konjac.
- 7
Add the Konjac into the miso soup. Let it cook for around 20 mins under low heat.
