Turnip Pakoras

Turnip or Shalgam is one such Vegetable that is predominantly available in Winters. And it's a delicious one too. I have made use of it in these lip-smacking Pakoras or Fritters.
Turnip goes well with anything. It can be mixed with any other Vegetable and made into a combination dish. And can be enjoyed both in Veg and Non-Veg preparations as we all do in my City.
It's the most simplest and the most loved Vegetable too. It's sweet and delicious.
Easy to make and perfect for everyone on any day.
These Pakoras are delicious with some freshly made Dip or Chutney. Ketchup is also an amazing accompaniment to these lovely looking Pakoras. Everyone would love them for sure. Try them while in Season. They make for a good Tea-time snack option. Hot and crisp Fritters are an excellent choice for evening get togethers or some quality family time especially on the weekends or the holidays.

Steps
- 1
Make a thick yet a fluffy batter using all the ingredients mentioned for making these delicious Fritters or Pakoras. The batter should not be watery. As onions have a tendency of leaving water. Therefore use water as required. Give it a standing time of at least 20 minutes. It's a must for flavours to infuse and also for fluffy Fritters.
- 2
Dip each slice of it in the batter and see to it that it's nicely coated with the batter. Deep fry them on a medium-high heat in hot oil until done. Cook well on both the sides turning at regular intervals for even cooking. It is a must to switch sides to cook well on both the sides.
- 3
Serve them piping hot with any chutney of your choice with a sprinkle of some chat masala too on top. It really gives a nice aroma and flavour. Enjoy!
