In a pan boil water, add salt, when water boils add in the rice flour. Mix well. Cover and let it cool a bit.

In another pan add grated coconut and gur. Stir continuously and make a tight mixture. Add in cardamom powder.

Now, knead the rice flour well and cover it for 10minutes.

Take a small dough and roll it into a small ball.

Using your hand make a bowl shape. Put 1 tbsp nolen gur & coconut filling at the center of the bowl.

Fold the bowl-shaped dough and design the edges.

Now grease the idli maker, and place pitha over it. Close the idli maker & steam all the pithas for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, vapa puli pithe is ready.

Serve hot with nolen gur.
