Slow cooked BBQ Brisket

A family fave and very easy to throw together with a little bit of planning.
Great for a pre prepped meal that'll just look after itself while you're at work.

Steps
- 1
Combine your rub ingredients in a bowl
- 2
Massage the rub all over the brisket, covering it entirely.
Let it sit for at least an hour, or overnight if you can, to let it absorb - 3
While the rub is infusing it's flavour, prepare the BBQ sauce. Our all of the sauce ingredients into your slow cooker
- 4
Give the sauce a stir and place the brisket in. Cover it as much as possible.
- 5
Set the slow cooker to Low, and leave for 6-8 hrs, depending on the size of brisket.
- 6
After 6-8hrs remove the brisket, and drain the sauce into a saucepan. Heat this over a medium heat to reduce it.
- 7
While the sauce is reducing pop the brisket in the oven at 170 C for 30min. Make sure to baste your brisket every 10min with the BBQ sauce that's reducing
- 8
Once the brisket has crusted, take out and slice across the grain on your chopping board.
Another option is to grab two forks and pull the brisket. - 9
Serve in Sliders or try Bao Buns, with a chunky slaw
