Thandai Shahi Tukda Hearts

Shahi Tukda is a Mughlai dessert made using deep-fried bread slices, dipped in sugar syrup and served with reduced saffron flavored milk (rabdi) and nuts.
I have made shahi tukda with thandai flavour for this Holi season.

Shahi Tukda is a Mughlai dessert made using deep-fried bread slices, dipped in sugar syrup and served with reduced saffron flavored milk (rabdi) and nuts.
I have made shahi tukda with thandai flavour for this Holi season.
Steps

For sugar syrup, put sugar and 1/2cup of water in a vessel and cook till the sugar dissolves in the water. Add cardamom and rose essence to the syrup and cook for 2 minutes.

For thandai powder, gather all ingredients, put them in a mixer jar and grind into a fine powder.

For Rabdi, Firstly boil milk in a pan on medium heat and then add sugar.

Add condensed milk and mix well.

Mix saffron in 1 tbsp milk and add kewda essence. Add this saffron milk and cardamom powder to rabdi.

Add thandai powder and mix well. Stir and switch off the flame, let it cool.

For Thandai shahi tukda, toast heart-shaped bread slices in a pan with adding butter till golden brown.

Soak fried bread pieces in hot sugar syrup for a minute and place them on a plate.

Keep a small heart shape cookie cutter on bread pieces and put rabdi from spoon in it. Remove cookie cutter and make all rabdi hearts like this. Serve this shahi tukda with more thandai rabdi and chopped nuts and saffron.

Cook on low flame till it starts to thicken, Mix cornflour in water and add this mixture into the rabdi.
