I tried using curry roux, and it worked perfectly.
In our house, we used Golden Curry medium hot.
Super Easy Tandoori Chicken with Curry Roux
This is a super easy tandoori chicken that takes about 5 minutes to prepare.

Cooking Instructions

Cut the chicken into appropriate sizes.

Chop the curry roux. It doesn't need to be very fine, just chopped to some extent is fine.

Put the yogurt, chopped curry roux, salt, and chicken into a plastic bag.

Massage well and let it sit in the refrigerator for 1 hour to overnight.

Don't worry if there are lumps of roux left. They will dissolve while resting in the refrigerator.

Cook thoroughly in a frying pan with oil over medium heat, being careful not to burn. - 7
Place on aluminum foil and bake in a toaster oven for about 12 minutes. If it looks like it might burn before it's cooked through, cover with aluminum foil.
