Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  • 7 ozground pork (about 200 grams)
  • 4-inch piece green onion (about 10 cm)
  • 1small amount of ginger paste
  • 2 tablespoonssoy sauce (about 30 ml)
  • 1 tablespoonmirin (about 15 ml)
  • 1/2 tablespoonsake (about 7 ml)
  • 1/2 tablespoonsugar (about 6 grams)
  • 1egg yolk
  • 8skewers

Steps

  1. 1

    Add the chopped green onion and grated ginger to the ground pork. Mix well until the mixture becomes sticky. In a separate bowl, combine the soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar.

    Shape the pork mixture into logs. Heat oil in a skillet and cook the tsukune until cooked through.

  3. 3

    Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the tsukune. Simmer and turn the tsukune to coat them in the sauce until it thickens.

  4. 4

    Insert skewers into the tsukune, plate, and serve! Enjoy by dipping in egg yolk.
