This is the season for sweet potatoes! And my partner loves mixed rice. The sweetness of the sweet potatoes and the saltiness of the sesame salt are a perfect match.

The trick to this recipe is to use consomme bouillon cubes that adds a Western flavor! Add a bit of ketchup to any leftovers, and use it as filling for a rice omelette. For 2 rice cooker cups' worth [360 ml]. Recipe by ochikeron

  1. 700 gramsWhite rice
  2. 2cuts Autumn salmon fillets
  3. A
  4. 200 gramsSweet potato
  5. 50 gramsCarrot
  6. 40 gramsEdamame
  7. 100 gramsShimeji mushrooms
  8. B
  9. 1Soup stock cube
  10. 2 tbspSake
  11. 1/2 tbspSoy sauce
  12. 2 tbspMirin
  13. 1Sesame salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse and drain the rice 30 minutes before cooking.

    Prepare all the "A" ingredients.

    Put rice into the rice cooker, fill with water up to the 2 cup level mark, mix in the "B" ingredients, add the prepared ingredients from Step 2, and cook the rice on the usual setting.

    When it's done, leave to steam for 10 minutes without opening the rice cooker, shred the fish and briskly stir, transfer to serving bowls, then sprinkle sesame salt on top.
