Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  • 6bell peppers
  • 250 gground pork
  • 1/2onion
  • 50 gbreadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoonmilk
  • 1small egg
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoonflour
  • 1 tablespoonoyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoonmirin
  • 1 tablespoonsake
  • 100 ccwater

Steps

    Finely chop the onion and microwave it, then let it cool. Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.

    Mix the ground pork with a spoon until sticky, then add the cooled onion.

    Push the meat mixture to the side, then mix in the breadcrumbs, milk, and egg.

    Combine everything, lightly season with salt and pepper, and mix again.

    In a plastic bag, coat the bell peppers with flour, and set aside the combined seasoning ingredients.

    Stuff the bell peppers with the meat mixture and place them meat-side down in a frying pan with heated oil.

    Once the meat is browned, add the combined seasoning ingredients, cover immediately, and steam-cook.

    When the liquid is almost gone, it's done.

    Recently on TV, it was shown that leaving the inner lining of the bell pepper prevents the meat from falling out without using flour. The flour also adds a nice natural thickness.

    It turned out delicious again. An elderly person over 80 said it was tasty and ate two!
