Ingredients

  • 250 gedamame
  • 1/2 tablespoonsalt (for rubbing)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoonssalt (for boiling)
  • 1 quartwater

Steps

  1. 1

    Sprinkle the edamame in their pods with 1/2 tablespoon of salt and rub them until they become slightly wilted.

  2. 2

    Bring 1 quart of water and 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt to a boil in a pot.

  3. 3

    Add the edamame to the boiling water and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Once cooked, drain in a colander and let them sit for at least an hour.

  5. 5

    Once they have cooled, they are ready to eat. If you have leftovers, place them in a storage bag and freeze.
