Chinese Hot Pot with Frozen Dumplings and Ramen Soup Base

This is a simple Chinese hot pot made with ramen soup base and frozen dumplings. It's easy to make, but the soup is absolutely delicious and will warm you up!
Recipe background: I wanted something warm on a cold day. I remembered I had frozen dumplings, so I used what I had in the fridge to put this together.

Steps
- 1
Gather the ramen soup base (the seasoning packet from instant ramen is fine; use soy sauce or salt flavor if possible).
- 2
Gather the frozen dumplings (use them straight from the freezer).
- 3
Gather the bean sprouts (thin bean sprouts are best, but any kind is fine, even with roots attached).
- 4
Slice the green onion diagonally into thin strips. Cut the garlic chives into pieces about 1 1/2 inches (4 cm) long.
- 5
Combine all the ingredients marked with ◾️ in a pot, bring to a gentle boil, then add steps 2–4. Cover and cook until boiling. It's ready to serve!
- 6
Note: Ginger scallion sauce can be found at Asian grocery stores. You can substitute with grated ginger if needed.
