Arrange Supermarket Sushi on a Plate

On days when you're tired, it's easy to serve supermarket sushi as is, which means fewer dishes to wash. But if you have a little extra energy, arranging it on a plate can make it feel a bit more special.
The story behind this recipe
Today, I went to my parents' house for lunch, so I was quite full! I didn't have much energy or time to cook, so I bought sushi from a supermarket sushi shop. It would have been fine to serve it in the package, but since I was in a hurry, the package got tilted, so I rearranged it on a plate.

Decorated Chirashi Sushi Decorated Chirashi Sushi
Ordinary chirashi sushi is boring, so I made it into a cake shape the kids would love.If you mix chirashi sushi seasoning into all of the rice, it gets monotonous, so I flavored half the rice simply with sushi vinegar. This "cake" is very easy to eat.I used a spring-form cake mold with a non-stick coating. If your mold is made out of a material that rice sticks to easily, line with plastic wrap first.I think it's fun to change the toppings to fit the season. For one 18 cm [7.1 in] mold. Recipe by Kikka mama cookpad.japan -

Salmon Unrolled Sushi Salmon Unrolled Sushi
My mother used to make this recipe for me when I was a child. It is easy to eat because it is light even when you don't have so much appetite.I recommend it for when you don't have much of an appetite.I adjust how much vinegar and sugar I use to make the sushi vinegar because the vinegar can be too sour. You can even just buy the seasoned sushi vinegar if you want.Make sure that you fan the rice when you mix it while adding the vinegar to it.Do not mix the rice too much because the rice will become sticky and stick to each other. Simple Temari Sushi Using a Pack of Sashimi Simple Temari Sushi Using a Pack of Sashimi
I make this for celebrations and parties. I always worry about what to combine with what, so I thought I'd post this for reference.■ Sticking the sushi toppings to warm rice will reduce their level of freshness. ■ You could also use toppings like ama-ebi (sweet shrimp) or steamed shrimp (with mayonnaise), kohada gizzard shad (with julienned ginger), parboiled and rolled greens, roast beef, cured ham, eel, pickled sakura blossoms or leaves and so on. For 4 servings. Recipe by Keyua cookpad.japan -
Easy Sushi Rice Easy Sushi Rice
This recipe was handed down to me by my mother. If you make sushi vinegar to stock, as long as the sugar and salt have dissolved there's no need to let it rest for a day. If making the sushi vinegar on the spot for one batch of sushi rice (3 rice cooker cups' worth) you need 80 ml of rice vinegar, 2 to 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt. The rice should be just the right sweetness. Microwave the sushi vinegar to dissolve the sugar and salt (about 20 seconds).Step 1: Cook the rice so that it's on the firm side.Step 3: Use the rice after it's cooled down a bit. If cooking 2 rice cooker cups, use 7 cm of konbu seaweed and 50 to 60 ml of sushi vinegar. While you should drain off the rice in a sieve before cooking it, it will still taste good if you just cook it right after rinsing it. It's fine to omit the kombu.
