Make teriyaki chicken wings easily using your microwave!
Recipe background:
I wondered if I could make teriyaki easily in the microwave, so I gave it a try. I used the same seasonings as when pan-frying. You can also cook these in a skillet if you prefer!

Poke holes in both sides of the chicken wings with a fork.

Mix the mirin, soy sauce (3 tablespoons each), and grated ginger (1 teaspoon) in a bowl. Add the chicken wings and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, then flip and marinate for another 30 minutes.

Place the chicken wings and marinade in a microwave-safe dish, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 2 minutes. Flip the wings, microwave for another 2 minutes at 600W, then let them cool until they are just warm.

Cut the lettuce into bite-sized pieces, arrange on a plate, and serve the chicken wings on top. Enjoy!
