Live Dhokla (Using Home-Made Premix)

Take dhokla pre-mix in a bowl. Add sour curds & mix well. In the meantime, heat the steamer & the greased thali/plate. Both should be very hot before we keep the dhokla for steaming.

Add lemon juice & mix well. Add water slowly & continue mixing. Make a thick batter.

Add turmeric powder, asafoetida,green chilli paste, eno fruit salt & salt.Mix well.The consistency should be as shown in the pic below.👇

Pour dhokla batter in a greased hot thali / plate. Sprinkle red chilli powder on it. Steam the thali in a steamer (which is already kept hot). Steam the thali for 7 - 8 minutes. Cool & cut into pieces. Apply ground nut oil on it. Serve the dhokla with green & red garlic Chutneys.
