Ingredients

1 loaf
  1. 1 loafbaguette
  2. 2 headsgarlic
  3. 1-2 tbspolive oil
  4. 75 gunsalted butter
  5. 1/4 tspsalt
  6. 1/4 tspblack pepper
  7. chopped parsley

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 205°C.

    Chop the tops of the garlic heads off. Place them on a baking tray lined with aluminium foil. Wrap the garlic in aluminium foil. Make sure it's sealed tightly to retain the moisture.

    Roast the garlic for 30-40 minutes until soft.

  4. 4

    Squeeze out the roasted garlic cloves into a bowl.

  5. 5

    Add in unsalted butter, salt, and pepper. Mash them altogether until well combined.

  6. 6

    Slice the baguette into half.

  7. 7

    Scoop half of the garlic butter mixture onto the cut side of one piece of bread, and spread it evenly across with a butter knife or spatula. Repeat for the other piece of bread.

    Broil the bread until toasted (about 5 minutes).
