Ingredients

  1. 1 cupred lentils
  2. 2 cupswater
  3. 3 tbspcoconut milk
  4. 1 tbspcoconut oil
  5. 1 cloveor more of garlic
  6. 2onions
  7. 1 tspcinnamon
  8. 1 tspcurry leaves
  9. 1 tspturmeric
  10. 1 tspchilli
  11. 1 tspsalt
  12. 2curry leaves
  13. Few pandan leaves, if possible

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook red lentils in water with salt and turmeric.

  2. 2

    Add the coconut milk when the lentils become a little mushy.

  3. 3

    Heat the coconut oil in a pan and fry the remaining ingredients then pour over the top of the dhal to serve! Delicious with coconut rice or roti.
