Ingredients

  • 1 cupred lentils
  • 2 cupswater
  • 3 tbspcoconut milk
  • 1 tbspcoconut oil
  • 1 cloveor more of garlic
  • 2onions
  • 1 tspcinnamon
  • 1 tspcurry leaves
  • 1 tspturmeric
  • 1 tspchilli
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 2curry leaves
  • Few pandan leaves, if possible

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook red lentils in water with salt and turmeric.

  2. 2

    Add the coconut milk when the lentils become a little mushy.

  3. 3

    Heat the coconut oil in a pan and fry the remaining ingredients then pour over the top of the dhal to serve! Delicious with coconut rice or roti.
