Last night I went to bed really hungry, but I didn’t want to get up, and I was craving something sweet and savory with bread. So I woke up with this idea in mind.

Last night I went to bed really hungry, but I didn’t want to get up, and I was craving something sweet and savory with bread. So I woke up with this idea in mind.
Steps
- 1
Spread two types of jelly (here, red and green jalapeño jelly) on the bread slices.
- 2
Place a slice of American cheese on two of the bread slices.
- 3
Add a portion of chopped egg on top.
- 4
Add a portion of mozzarella cheese to each slice.
- 5
Put the two slices of bread together to make a sandwich. Spread margarine on the top side. Place the sandwich, margarine side down, on a griddle or skillet, then spread margarine on the other side.
- 6
Cook until golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
