Once you prepare this dish ,no need to prepare any other dish with roti or rice.
Steps

Wash tur dal,add adequate water and in a cooker take 3 whistles and simmer for 4 minutes.

Wash shepu properly (3 to 4 times) to clean it properly. Then remove excess water and cut it.

Now in a kadai,add oil once heated,add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida. Then add curry leaves and garlic cloves.

Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, goda masala and mix properly.

Now add shepu,mix well add water and let it cook..

Remove excess water from.dal,mash it with spatula to give it a soft texture and add it in the kadai and give it a boil so that it blends properly with shepu.Your Dal Shepu is ready.
