Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  1. 3 cupsall-purpose flour (about 375 grams)
  2. 2 tablespoonspowdered sugar
  3. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  4. 2 tablespoonsmelted butter or oil
  5. 1/2 cupwater (about 120 ml)
  6. 1/2 tablespoonorange blossom water
  7. 2 cupshoney (about 500 ml)
  8. 2 tablespoonscornstarch
  9. Filling:
  10. 1 1/4 poundsground peanuts (about 500 grams)
  11. 2 tablespoonspowdered sugar
  12. 3 tablespoonsorange blossom water

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix the melted butter or oil with the flour and rub together well with your hands.

    Once combined, add the powdered sugar and salt, then add the orange blossom water and water. Knead to form a dough and let it rest.

    Roll out the dough and sprinkle with cornstarch. Gather it together and divide into portions. Roll out the first portion, spread the filling on top, then cover with the second portion of dough. Brush the top with melted butter or oil.

    Bake in the oven until golden, then pour honey over the baklava while it's still hot.
