Wash basmati rice and soak for 1 hour. Hard boil eggs, peel and prick with a fork. Keep aside.

Boil water in a vessel and add all the ingredients for boiling basmati rice. Let water boil. Add basmati rice and cook till done. Drain and keep aside.

Heat a heavy base biryani pot, add oil and fry sliced onion till golden. Take out half of the fried onion and keep aside. Add ginger garluc padte and all spices of the gravy. Saite few minutes. Add chopped tomato and salt. Add 1/4 cup water and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add potato pieces and cook till 50 %.Add boiled egg to the gravy. Saut, 2 minutes. Takevout eggs, potatoes and gravy in a bowl.

Add half of the boiled rice to the same pot. Add eggs, potatoes and gravy to the pot. Add pickle gravy.

Now add remaining boiled rice. Garnish with fried onion, coriander leaves and orange food colour.

Cover and put on dum for 10 minutes on lowest flame.

After 10 minutes, put off the flame and leave the biryani for 5 minutes.

Achari egg biryani is ready to serve.
