Chhash

Chhash is a delicious, healthy and cooling summer drink. Ayurveda recommends very watery chhash (¼ : ¾) and must be consumed in the afternoon only. It must not be consumed at night as well as in winter or monsoon.
I like creamy and a little thick (½ : ½) chhash. I have special childhood memory attached to chhash. My pappa used to make me the chhash just how I like, and keep it in the fridge protecting from the rest of the family members. As I return from school, he will sweetly welcome me with a glass of my delicious chhash. I used to enjoy every sip of it while having my 'me' time with the newspaper. Love ypu pappa ❤️
It took me years to learn to achieve the exact taste and texture of the chhash that resembles that of papa's. There has been not a single glass of chhash that I have had without recalling my childhood memories and the love of pappa. 🫶
