Ingredients

  • 2 cupsGram flour/Besan
  • 1/2 cupEdible Gum (gond)
  • 1 cupGhee
  • 3/4 cupSugar powder
  • 1/4 cupDesiccated Coconut
  • 1/4 cupAlmonds
  • 1/4 cupCashews
  • 1 tbspPistachios
  • 1 tbspMelon seeds
  • 1 tspCardamom powder

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Put cashews, almonds, dry coconut and pistachios in a mixer jar and grind coarsely.

    Heat 4 tbsp ghee in a pan and add edible gum (gond) in it.

    Stir and cook these until Gond particles puff up and turn crisp.

    Once these are done frying, transfer immediately into a bowl and let these cool.

    After cooling grind these coarsely in mixer.

    Heat remaining ghee in a thick bottom pan and add besan in it.

    Slowly cook and stir until it looks like dry roasted and slight changes in color.

    When it looks slightly golden brown in color add coarsely ground dry nuts and desiccated coconut into it along with Gond that we prepared.

    Mix and cook these further in low flame until you see the mixture crumbles up and reaches its melting point.

    Immediately transfer onto a plate and spread out to cool.

    Once the mixture comes down to little warm add sugar powder along with cardamom powder and rub nicely using hands to mix well.

    Press and shape them as Laddus and keep in an airtight container.

    Enjoy besan gond laddu keeping it in room temperature.
