BADAM SHEERA - ALMOND SWEET
A traditional Indian sweet, usually made with semolina, is, in this recipe, prepared with powdered almonds.

Heat enough water in a deep pan for a few minutes. Then switch off the flame.

Add almonds to the hot water and keep for 3 to 4 minutes.

Drain the water and peel the almonds.

Dry the almondsh completely on a kitchen towel or on a muslin cloth.

Blend the almonds in two batches, in the small jar, till almonds turn into coarse powder. Keep the almond powder aside.

Heat 1 and 1/2 tbsp ghee in a deep nonstick pan.

Add the coarsely powdered almonds to the heated ghee and mix well. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame while stirring continuously.

Add sugar to the pan and mix well, and cook on medium flame for two to three minutes.

Add cardamom powder to the pan and mix well. The almond sweet is ready to be served.

Serve the badam sheera hot or warm and enjoy it.
