Remember when, in my previous HOMEMADE GREEK YOGURT recipe, I told you not to throw away the whey that drains off? Well, that whey is used to make Grandma’s Bundt Cake. That’s right—thanks to this ingredient, you get a super soft and tall cake.

Crack the eggs into a large bowl. Add the brown sugar and beat with an electric mixer for 4–5 minutes, until the mixture is pale and fluffy.

Add the grated orange zest and vanilla extract. Mix on low speed for 1 minute.

Slowly pour in the sunflower oil while continuing to beat on low speed.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour and sifted baking powder. Add them to the egg mixture a little at a time, alternating with the Greek yogurt whey, beating on low speed. The batter should be smooth and creamy.

Grease a 9.5-inch (24 cm) Bundt pan well with 1 tablespoon sunflower oil using a pastry brush. Pour the batter into the pan. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 50 minutes (baking time may vary depending on your oven). Check doneness with a toothpick. Remove from the oven, let cool, invert the pan to release the cake, and dust with powdered sugar.
